Generally doing make up is supposed to be a time consuming thing but to get ready quickly some make up tips are important.

  • While doing make up the skin type and the complexion should be considered first. One kind of make up which is suitable for one individual may not be suitable for another individual.
  • Make tricks can be explored by trials and errors. Therefore doing experiments with different colors and shades to find the most suited ones is a good idea.
  • The colors and shades used should go along with hair. Having proper make up instruments is also essential like make up sponge, powder brush, blusher brush, eye shadow brush, eyebrow tweezers, lip brush and eyelash curler.
  • The color of the eye liner should be suitable to the color of the eye.
  • Make up should not be worn for long period of time.
  • Concealers in the form of stick, liquid or cream can be used to hide dark spots, blemishes and scars.
  • For the application of base make up or the foundation a sponge should be used.
  • The entire face should be checked in mirror to check for any unnatural lines.
  • In case of use of two shades in the make up the two should be merged well.
  • In case of frequent make ups the skin should be cleaned thoroughly using cleansers, toning should be done and moisturizer should be applied.
  • Lip gloss and lipsticks should be moisturizer based to nourish the lips.
  • The color of the lipstick should be complementary to that of hair and skin. After applying lip liner lipstick should be applied with a lip brush. After application of lipstick it should be blotted with a tissue paper to last it longer and to have a matt look.
  • For a party make up darker shades of foundation should be applied on the broader part of the face.
  • Then powder and blush should be applied on the cheeks, sides of forehead and chin.
  • A slightly darker eye shadow should be applied below the eye. Eye liner can be applied. Then two coats of mascara can be applied. The second coat should be applied only after the first one dries up.
  • The order of make up is first the foundation first, then eye make up, then cheeks and then lips.
  • Sparkles and bold colors are suitable for party make up.
