To match the stars in your eyes, apply mascara after making up the rest of your face completely. Brush off the excess and let it “set” for a few minutes. Then curl your lashes and add a little more mascara to the tips of your lashes. It’s this last “tipping” that does most to give the alluring illusion of length.
Close-set eyes? To give the illusion of extra width and depth, apply your eye shadow on the upper lid, starting at the center of the eyelid and blending to the outer corner of each eye.
Scarecrow for crow’s feet. Laugh wrinkles in the corner of your eyes come, not from age, but from relative
skin dryness. So don’t neglect daily, or nightly, lubrication with a good eye cream. Don’t massage that delicate skin area. Pat cream lightly around outside corners of eyes, under eyes, and on eyelids.
Detract attention from circles under your eyes by adding blue eye shadow on and around your lids, discreetly blending the shade.
Clear-eyed beauty. The best eye care is, of course, lots of sleep, and avoidance of overstraining through reading, sewing, movies, or TV. If your eyes get tired easily, bathe occasionally with soothing eye lotion, and check with your eye doctor as to whether you need glasses.
Use hot water for the application of eyelash makeup. The warmth of the water seems to cause the makeup to go on more smoothly and lastingly than when cold water is used.
To make the nose appear narrower,
apply a drop of dark blue, brown, or gray eye shadow alongside before applying powder. Make sure that you blend the eye shadow lightly to avoid spotty look.
